About Us
Anti-Colonial Alert is an open media platform grounded in anti-colonialism and anti-imperialism. We are committed to a mission overlooked by all mainstream media: centering the self-liberation of the Third World, we collect and share news and information, analyze methods and strategies of struggle, and expose the exploitative tactics and hegemonic practices of Western imperialism.
We focus on the nations of Asia, Africa, and Latin America, providing audiences and readers with the latest information and in-depth analyses of events and social phenomena. We inherit the revolutionary spirit of our country, standing in solidarity with the cause of self-liberation in Third World nations. This means resolutely opposing any reconciliation with Western bourgeois media, academic systems, or co-opted leftist discourse; it means focusing on the alteration of dynamics in class conflicts in reality; and it means rejecting the notion that the anti-colonial cause can be declared and concluded with mere formal liberation.
Our starting point is the justice and inevitability of the Third World's self-liberation cause, and our shared conceptual tools and methodologies are built upon this foundation. We hope to contribute our part in fostering solidarity among Third World peoples. While providing decentralized information, we will actively establish an anti-imperialist historical perspective, systematically and precisely exposing the various means of exploitation and oppression employed by Western hegemony, unmasking the power dynamics beneath distorted narratives, and paying close attention to the organizations and structures that can generate momentum for the development and liberation of Third World societies.
Our Mission
We advocate for an approach rooted in social realities and the dynamics of class conflicts, while also emphasizing the openness of epistemology and the historical process itself. Unlike the complacent, reckless, so-called "leftists" or the rampant populists, we do not reject practitioners as long as they are of the previously mentioned approach; nor do we claim exclusive authority over historical interpretations or use such claims to justify personal agendas. This is the spirit we truly wish to convey, and it is why the historically transformative struggles of Asia, Africa, and Latin America are so gripping and awe-inspiring.
We reject the journalistic ethos of Western mainstream bourgeois media and their analytical frameworks rooted in the so-called rules-based international order. We employ leftist theoretical frameworks and analytical tools, with our prioritized focus on the pulse of class consciousness and class forces on the international stage. We uphold a materialist perspective, rejecting the possibility of reconciliation between Third World nations and Western hegemony on major issues, and further denying the possibility of reconciling internal contradictions within the Western world or Europe.
We support the development and construction of the Third World through advocacy for independent economic and political ecosystems. On top of that, we encourage these nations to actively build resilient, disciplined military and ideological forces. Furthermore, we are in favor of mutual aid within frameworks like the Belt and Road Initiative, which would enhance bargaining power of these nations and gradually induce their liberation from the exploitative shackles of financial hegemony. We oppose the attacks, which usually appear under the guise of hypocritical "universal values", on those who are fighting in mud, oil and dust; specifically, we dissent with the slanders against the just causes of progressive Third World nations like China.
We believe that a multipolar, diversified world free from extraterritorial hegemonic exploitation and interference by offshore elites is both inevitable and a goal we must tirelessly pursue.
Together with independent contributors, we strive for a future filled with hope and liberation.
